Our history
Dr. Singleton has been active in both pre and post operative laser vision correction since about the year 2000. He also founded one of the most advanced diagnostic vision centers in 2004. In 2012 he opened the current location of Singleton Eye Clinic. The facility was designed to focus on Medical Eyecare for the students and faculty at Coastal Carolina and to fill the huge need for the many retirees who are moving to our area.
The Singleton Eye Clinic is the intersection of kindness, caring and precise diagnosis and treatment. We are equipped to care for patients with cataract, diabetes, dry eye, glaucoma, and a host of medical eye conditions.

Dry eye is usually due to lack of oil in the tears. In a healthy, comfortable eye you will find about forty oil glands providing lubrication and comfort for each of your eyes. The oil glands open along the edge of your eyelids. This provides the relief from the constant rubbing of the eyelids against the surface of the eye.
We use a special infrared imaging device to allow us to see the oil glands in your eyelids. We can let you see just how many glands that you have left and can also rejuvenate them before you have none.
